BEND, Ore. -

The Bend man who police said was driving the car that killed pedestrian Anthony Martin earlier this year, was set to enter a plea Monday.

That was postponed and Tuesday, the Deschutes County District Attorney's Office said Bret Biedscheid will be in for a settlement conference July 12th behind closed doors. If they do not come to a plea agreement, he is set to enter a plea on July 18th.

A grand jury indictment came down in April for the fatal January crash.

Biedscheid is charged with criminally negligent homicide and failure to preform the duties of a driver in an accident, a felony.
