U.S. women try to top Jamaica in 4x100m

The U.S. proved they have the fastest quartet of women when they took gold in Friday’s 4x100-meter relay in world-record time in 40.82.
The American foursome was made up of Tianna Madison, Allyson Felix, Bianca Knight and Carmelita Jeter.
This marks the second medal of the 2012 Olympics for Felix and Jeter. Jeter took silver in the 100m and Felix won the 200m.
The U.S. was able to hold off Jamaica, who finished second in 41.41. The Jamaican team was made up of 100m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Sherone Simpson, Veronica Campbell-Brown, who was third in the 100m, and Kerron Stewart.
Ukraine finished third in 42.04.
The U.S. women last won the 4x100-meter relay in 1996.
