Olivia Wilde was born on March 10, 1984, in New York.
Wilde’s father was born in England and later became an Irish citizen. This gave Olivia dual citizenship in both the United States and Ireland.
Wilde grew up in Washington, D.C., and Andover, Massachusetts. She also spent time in Dublin, Ireland, while studying at the Gaiety School of Acting.
Wilde first appeared in the Fox TV series “Skin” in 2003, but her first well-known role came in “The O.C.” in 2003. She made her movie debut in “The Girl Next Door” in 2004.
In 2006 she appeared in “Turistas” alongside Josh Duhamel and Melissa George.
Wilde was cast in the popular drama series “House M.D.” from 2007 to 2012. She played Dr. Remy “Thirteen” Hadley in the medical drama.
Wilde appeared in “Year One” with Jack Black and Michael Cera in 2009.
In 2010 she appeared in “The Next Three Days” with Russell Crowe, Elizabeth Banks and Liam Neeson.
Wilde also appeared in “TRON: Legacy” in 2010, where she starred alongside Jeff Bridges and Garrett Hedlund.
In 2011 Wilde joined Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig in “Cowboys & Aliens.”
Wilde starred alongside Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman in “The Change-Up” in 2011.
In 2012 Wilde starred alongside Bradley Cooper and Dennis Quaid in “The Words.”
Wilde joined Jim Carrey and Steve Carell in “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” in 2013.
She joined Anna Kendrick and Jake Johnson in “Drinking Buddies” in 2013.
Wilde also starred in the critically acclaimed “Rush” alongside Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl in 2013.
In 2014 she joined Jane Fonda, Michelle Monaghan and Sam Rockwell in “Better Living Through Chemistry.”
