'I Like Pie' run-walk donations tallied
Thanksgiving Day was the seventh year for the I LIKE PIE run/walk and pie baking contest. Registrants doubled in size totaling 1,600 registered runners. About 5,500 pounds of food were contributed to NeighborImpact (1,700 more than was raised last year).
Also, $10,000+ was raised, over $4,200 more than was raised last year, and 160 pies were brought from registrants. All 100% of the proceeds and food donations go to NeighborImpact.
Registrants were asked to donate $5 and 5 pounds of food.
As Teague Hatfield, Owner of FootZone says: “I Like Pie is such a rewarding community event with runners and walkers of all ages and lots and lots of pie. It’s exciting to see everyone getting in some exercise on Thanksgiving and contributing to NeighborImpact and all their vital work in this community.”
