Assistance League gets Nike shoes donation

Nike donated 400 pairs of shoes to Assistance League of Bend, which will distribute them to kids in need.

BEND, Ore. -

Assistance League of Bend is the recipient of over 400 pairs of new athletic shoes in five different sizes from the Nike Corporation

This donation of sneakers will be used to augment Operation School Bell®. Operation School Bell provides qualifying school age children a new basic wardrobe of clothing for school.  

Distribution of shoes will take place Saturday, April 6th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. at the Assistance League of Bend Chapter House located at 2010 S.E. Urania, Bend. 

To determine eligibility for this programm parents or guardians are asked to contact their school’s Family Access Network, CASA or foster families representative.

Dental hygienists from the Kemple Clinic will also be on site offering, with parental or guardian approval, free dental examinations and oral care instruction to eligible children.

When children fit in with their peers, it enhances their school experience and increases their chance at success.
