Bend Spay & Neuter doggie coat drive under way

BEND, Ore. -

Bend Spay and Neuter Project’s third annual Doggie Coat Drive is in full swing! This project is completely volunteer driven and works to provide coats, sweaters and booties for dogs belonging to people who are homeless or displaced in Central Oregon.

New or gently used coats, sweaters and booties for cats or dogs may be dropped
off at Bend Veterinary Clinic, Blue Sky Veterinary Clinic, both Bend Pet Express
locations and at Bend Spay and Neuter Project through 12/19.

Food and bedding will also be accepted. Doggie coats, food and bedding will be
distributed through local non-profit agencies such as Neighbor Impact, who work
with the local homeless population. Bend Spay and Neuter Project works with
local non-profits to help provide free veterinary care to the pets of people who are
homeless in Central Oregon.

Bend Spay and Neuter Project provides high quality, affordable spay and neuter
services to cats and dogs in Central Oregon. Bend Spay and Neuter Project
does not receive public funding, and relies on donations, fundraising events and
grants. The mission of the organization is to help end pet homelessness in
Central Oregon. Bend Spay and Neuter Project has spayed or neutered over
30,000 animals in Central Oregon, preventing thousands of animals from
