Bend Spay and Neuter Project has received a grant award in the amount of $5,300 to provide spay/neuter surgeries for 85 Pit Bulls and Chihuahuas living in Central Oregon at a cost of just $10 to their owner.
The “Chi Chi’s and Bullies Program” will help to decrease the number of unwanted dogs entering our local shelters and will enable low income dog owners to provide their beloved companions with the most basic of veterinary care.
Dog owners must be on some form of government assistance or be able to show proof of low income to qualify. Please call Bend Spay and Neuter Project for more information and to schedule an appointment at 541-617-1010.
Bend Spay and Neuter Project is a 501c3 registered non-profit in the state of Oregon. The mission of BSNP is to provide affordable, preventative veterinary care to at risk cats and dogs in Central Oregon in order to create a more humane community.
The Petco Foundation has served as a voice for companion animals across the country since 1999. Today, with more than 8,000 local animal-welfare partners across the country, the foundation donates approximately $15 million a year to make a difference in the lives of millions of animals. The organization is funded through donations raised during fundraisers conducted in Petco's more than 1,200 stores across the country, as well as from Petco associates, vendors and corporate contributions. Money raised helps fund animal-welfare organizations, spay and neuter efforts, animal-assisted therapy programs and humane education.
