Colorado girl, 12, was partly trapped under overturned Ford Bronco in crash along Crescent Cutoff Road late Friday night, Oregon State Police said.

A 12-year-old Colorado girl who was not wearing a seat belt was partially ejected and seriously injured in a crash late Friday night on an icy stretch of the Crescent Cutoff Road in northern Klamath County, Oregon State Police reported.

According to Trooper Nick Hagedorn, around 11:25 p.m., a 1988 Ford Bronco driven by Link Fonda, 41, of Crescent Lake was westbound on the Crescent Cutoff Road near milepost 6 when he encountered a section of black ice and lost control of the vehicle.

The Ford Bronco crossed the roadway into the eastbound ditch, where it rolled onto its top.

The two passengers were identified as Brittany Lewis, 31, and her 12-year-old daughter, Katrina Alconher,, both from Elbert, Colorado.

During the crash, Alconher was partially ejected, leaving her lower body trapped under the vehicle.

Fonda and Lewis were wearing safety restraints and were taken by ambulance to St. Charles-Bend with non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers said investigators determined that the 12-year-old was not wearing safety restraints. Alconher was flown by Life Flight helicopter to St. Charles-Bend with serious injuries. However, a nursing supervisor said Saturday there was no record of her being admitted.

OSP troopers from the La Pine Worksite are continuing the investigation and no enforcement action has been taken.

OSP was assisted at the scene by the Oregon Department of Transportation, Chemult EMS, Crescent EMS and AirLink.
