ODOT opens bids on two big C. Oregon projects
Ahead of the summer construction season, the Oregon Department of Transportation said Thursday it has opened bids for two important major Central Oregon projects.
The Highway 97 / Murphy Road project, will bring two new overcrossings to the Bend Parkway at the southern city limits of Bend, and a new alignment of Murphy Road.
The apparent low bidder is Hamilton Construction Company of Springfield, Oregon, at $11,242,334. This 2-year project is expected to get underway this summer.

The other major project is an improvement to Highway 20 through the city of Sisters. The apparent low bidder for the US20 Cascade project is Knife River Corporation – Northwest of Portland/Bend, at $3,814,767. This 2-year project is expected to begin after Labor Day.

Both of the bids are subject to meeting ODOT’s procurement process of needing to be both responsible and responsive prior to contract award.
