A family was struck by lightning while driving in their car in southern Utah and they captured the incident on video.

The Morlocks were driving to Church Wells in pouring rain when Taylor, one of the three kids in the vehicle, said he "hopes we get struck by lightning," reports local Utah station KSL.

Almost immediately after that statement was made, the Morlock's SUV was struck by a bolt of lightning. "You could definitely feel the hairs on your neck just go up," Taylor said.

While nobody in the vehicle was injured, the lightning hit the antenna and the electrical gauges immediately shut off in the SUV. Three tires were also blown out, and the Morlocks were stranded in the rain until a passerby stopped and called for a tow truck.
