A man was discovered inside a guitar case on a frozen pond, wearing nothing but his boxer shorts.
Police say 31-year-old Zackery Aders started out on a 26-mile journey in brutally cold conditions in Muskogee County, Okla. to see a woman. Along the way, Aders got lost, fell through the ice on a pond or creek, and spent 24 hours disoriented, wet and cold in the woods, reports KOTV.
A man working outside heard Aders yelling for help and was able to reach him before the frigid temperatures did any permanent damage. Aders told police that he was dressed only in his boxer shorts when rescued because his other clothes became soaking wet when he fell through the ice. With temperatures around 10 degrees, police say Aders got partially inside a guitar case he had with him to try to stay warm.
Aders was taken to the hospital and treated and released.
